Turtle Cake

Preparation Time:  35 Minutes

 

Ingredients:

 

1 box German Chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup margarine
16 oz. bag caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup peacons
16 oz. bag chocolate chips

 

Preparation:

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Mix first three ingredients pour 2/3 of the batter into a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan. 

 

Bake for 15 minutes. 

 

Melt caramels in 1/3 cup of evaporated milk, pour over cake. 

 

Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over caramel.  

 

Spoon in lumps of the leftover batter and bake an additional 20 minutes . 


 

Tip:

 

Batter will be very thick and sticky.
